Advertising Details
The approximately 1300 dvds manufactured each month are distributed through the businesses who advertise. Each business receives 45 copies to give away for free to its patrons.

There are several distinct advantages to advertising on the Cherry Bomb Free DVD:
1) Free DVDs are a permanent medium likely to be kept in people's DVD collections. This will add a lifetime to the viewership of the commercials.
2) The Free DVD (in this prospectus) will feature only 10 advertisers over its two and one half hour length. Therefore the presence of the advertising will be prominent, especially in comparison to television, which typically features twenty advertisers per half hour.
3) Preceding its commercial, an advertiser may feature multiple 'splash screens' that in effect become a virtual website for a viewer to surf with the remote control. This would be ideal for driving special promotions and contests. Furthermore, for those viewers who are watching the DVD through their online computer, hyperlinks will allow for instant connection to other websites with more information and data collecting potential.
4) Commercials can be longer than the typical 30 seconds. For this project, an additional $2000 will give an advertiser a total of 60 seconds of disc space. An advertiser may then divide its time however it wishes; for instance, feature three ads each 20-seconds long..
5) The Free DVD is a brand new media concept invented by Cherry Bomb's founder Rich Seng. This idea has not yet been explored on a national level, therefore, its introduction to the American psyche will have extra impact.
6) Competitive separation in all product categories is guaranteed.
7) Advertisers will be positioned as sponsors of struggling filmmakers and musicians, not as typical advertisers cynically viewed as always trying to piggyback on an artistic scene. In this prospectus, 35% of the profits, derived directly from national advertisers, will be converted into income for the aspiring filmmakers.
Potential Concerns:

If a viewer has freedom with the remote control to skip ads, what will make a person want to watch a commercial? This is a good point, therefore:
1) Ads need to be more creative, produced more like short films than traditional TV ads. Consult with the creatives of your ad agency on perhaps producing concepts that were shelved for being too wild for TV, or, consult with Rich Seng, an experienced copywriter and producer of over 100 commercials. The more interesting, humorous and conceptual the ad, the more likely viewers will return to it, and even recommend it to others.
2) Take advantage of the technology and create special splash screens and web-hyperlinks that further drive promotions and contests.
What sort of demand exists for independent short films and music videos?

The advent of inexpensive video and editing technology has been a boon for aspiring filmmakers. These artists are now empowered to develop their craft and increase their productivity. This increases the availability of more experimental and groundbreaking
